Utah CNA jobs

http://www.medicare.gov/nursinghomecompare/About/Whatis/What-Is-NHC.aspx

I get a lot of questions from Utah CNA students about what nursing home to work at. The link above will take you to a site where you can compare nursing homes. You can look at their last survey and see where the problems are. It is interesting to look at the problems to see if they are BIG or small. Look at the level of harm, it's a 1 to 4 scale. Is actual harm being done? Some places have a lot of deficiencies but they are relatively benign. Others have some whoppers. The log below is actually from one of my favorite facilities. They got lots of deficiencies but personally I think they do a good job. This is a good tool for evaluating places to work. I recommend you talk to the residents, are they happy? Does the facility smell good? Are the residents busy and active? Are the staff happy? There are some really bad nursing homes out there but there are also some really great ones:)
