Senior prostitution ring reported in New Jersey retirement home
Posted: 05/15/2013
A 75-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of running a prostitution ring out of a New Jersey senior living home.
James Parham is accused of employing elderly residents as sex workers and possessing drug paraphernalia, reports NBC New York.
Cheryl Chaney, 66, was also arrested on suspicion of allowing drug use in her apartment at the home.
None of the alleged prostitutes have been arrested. Englewood Police Chief Arthur O’Keefe told NBC New York that sex and drug use was common in the complex and many seniors were afraid to venture to certain areas of the home.
A lack of security in the building is believed to have contributed to the problem.
